MEC LEHARI PAID PREMIER MOKGORO A COURTESY VISIT

The MEC for the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, Mr Sello Lehari, did yesterday, Thursday (30/07/2020) pay a courtesy visit to Premier of the Province, Professor Job Mokgoro.

The MEC who is currently leading the department’s disinfecting campaign, has been to various taxi ranks and traffic stations in the Province.

Though both Premier and MEC had been interacting through virtual platforms, they haven’t been in close contact for a while.

The Premier had been working from home after a short stay in hospital and self Isolation. MEC Lehari too, had been in quarantine and had also been working from home.

The MEC used this rare opportunity to brief and update the North West Premier on several issues concerning the Department.

Among the issues MEC updated the Premier about is the disinfection campaign including engagements with both internal and external stakeholders.

Both MEC Lehari and Premier Mokgoro are known for their whimsical nature, their meeting, as expected, was thus jovial, witful yet productive.

Meanwhile, more of the same program are billed to be rolled out in the month of August 2020 in all districts.
